Overview

Trauma is a pervasive and complex phenomenon that affects individuals, families, and communities across diverse contexts. From acute incidents such as violence, abuse, and accidents, to chronic exposures like systemic discrimination, poverty, and displacement, trauma manifests in diverse ways; psychologically, physiologically, socially, and culturally.

This special issue of JORMA International Journal of Health and Social Sciences invites original research, theoretical papers, case studies, and reviews that explore trauma through the lenses of psychology, health sciences, and interdisciplinary approaches. We welcome contributions that deepen our understanding of trauma’s mechanisms, consequences, and interventions, especially those that challenge conventional paradigms or offer innovative frameworks.
